Vitalik Buterin: only 10% of crypto-currency start-ups will survive

Creator Ethereum Vitalik Buterin predicted the failure of most crypto-currency and block-start-ups. This writes ETHNews.

"It's a generally accepted fact: 90% of startups fail. And one more fact should become generally accepted: 90% of ERC20-tokens on CoinMarketCap will completely depreciate, "Buterin said.
In his opinion, in 2018-2019, the second generation of tokens will appear on the market, which will have a much higher quality. Part of this will be possible due to the fact that by this time the long-term consequences of the release of the first generation of tokens will begin to affect.

Also, Vitalik Buterin noted that today many interesting projects are undeservedly deprived of attention.

"For example, everyone talks about three or four projects that raised $ 200 million for ICO, but there are a lot of more interesting projects that most people have not heard about," said the creator of Ethereum.
According to Bloomberg, Token Report conducted a study, which concluded that of the 226 ICO start-ups, only 20 projects (among them: Storj, Augur and TenX) launched normal networks and to some extent achieved their goals. Tokens of other projects are of a purely speculative nature.

According to Coinschedule.com, this year investors have invested $ 3 billion in 200 different ICO start-ups. Only in September 37 primary bids of coins attracted investments worth $ 850 million.

Earlier, the "Wolf from Wall Street" Jordan Belfort called the ICO the greatest scam in history.
