Newport, RI mansion!

I took a few days to head out to Newport, Rhode Island and decided to visit a few mansions. Back in the 1800's, these were very common within the upper class. Some of my favorites out of the 7 mansions I saw were "The Breakers" & "The Marble House". Its pretty incredible such beautiful structures were constructed way back in the day.

If I lived here, this would probably be where I spent all of my time. Beautiful balcony area overlooking the backyard and the water, which ran along most of the back of the house. Just insane!

Beautiful marble walls with some nice paintings. Usually the paintings were of the homeowners at the time. In this case, I believe it was Cornelius Vanderbilt II. It's funny because this was only their summer home. Pretty nice when you have all the money in the world :)

Past the huge backyard, there was an area on the edge of the property where you can walk the path along the cliffs which was pretty cool. Theses coastal cliffs ran on for miles. Most of the other neighboring mansions had the same views by the water as well.

Overall, this trip was more than I expected. Theres actually a lot of stuff to do and places to visit. When the summer comes back again, I definitely will be finding another weekend to go back again!
