Boudhanath :"One of the largest Stupa in the world"

The stupa have simple but powerful forms with massive, whitewashed hemispheres supporting gilded cubes with the all-seeing eternal Buddha eyes. The base of the stupa has 108 small depictions of the Dhyani Buddha Amitābhaand is surrounded with a brick wall with 147 inches, each with four or five prayer wheels engraved with the mantra, om mani padme hum.
It is one of the most popular tourist sites in the Kathmandu area. It is known as Khāsti by Newars and as Bauddha or Bodh-nāth by modern speakers of Nepali.

Boudhanath became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.Alot has changed since then.

Early morning and dusk are the best times to be here, when an otherworldly cacophony of ritual music drifts from the houses and monasteries that ring the stupa, and monks, locals and devout pilgrims all perform together, strolling, shuffling and prostrating their way around the dome.

At other times, we can see souvenir shops and cafés that ring the stupa and the brick-paved lane is filled with tourists.

Anyone who travels to Nepal and specifically Kathmandu , they have to visit Boudhanath to see its beauty.
