Let me introduce you the most underrated NBA player Damian Lillard. 

You can always argue hours and hours who is more underrated than other. What can i say that that is so right, but at the same time so wrong. I consider stats with achievements/rewards and how consistent player is.  Lillard is in small market team so he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. On the other side let´s look what numbers he puts up.

In this season after 12 game Lillard avergaes  25.2 ppg , 5.7 rbg and 6.5 apg. He was under 20ppg scorer only in his rookie season and even then it was 19.0 ppg.  I consider Damian Lillard higly efficient elite scorer who can take the last shot if needed. So why is considered Damian "Dame Dolla" Lillard so underrated?

Achievements/ Rewards

To answer my last question, he haven´t got the recognition he actually deserves. Why? i can´t tell you exactly why because we can only speculate it.
First of all Lillard has made it only 2 NBA Allstar games (2014; 2015). Stats he averages every year can make Allstar game every year. In my opinion he got snubbed last two years. On the other people can argue with me that West conference is guard heavy and everyone should be in Allstar then. And i agree with that argument. But you should consider how Damian Lillard carries his team every year. For example after LaMarcus Aldridge left Portland it was Lillard´s job to take Trailblazer to his shoulders... and he did, also very well actually. No one expected Trailblazers to make playoffs after Aldridge left, but Lillard went all out and carried this team to playoffs in strong West conference. True last year and a half he got help from C.J McCollum who also i think is very underrated player. And also i can agree that someways McCollum and Lillard somehow distract eachother and could be league top players in other teams. For example Lillard could´ve made Allstar games in every year if he played in Lakers, Heat or Celtics. And i blame it on the small marketing and how league doesn´t support unpopular teams.
