A Couple Of Babes And A Foxy Vixen

An odd thing happened on my way home from work last night and I’d like to show you so that you can see what I see as you walk with me and I do my best not to get attacked by wild dogs in the process.

Secretly I wonder if you’re all getting use to the oddities that cross my path on a fairly regular basis.

This leaves me no choice but to open with this great tune that was written by Tony Hazzard in 1969.

I caught The Fox On The Run (which is also the name of the song) from the side of the road and I followed the pack for a short distance.

I was passing through the small rural village of Frankford, Ontario when I spied all the shenanigans taking place.

I decided to stop and take a few photos because this is a rare event.

It’s the first time in my life that I have ever witnessed this occurring in real time.

This is a vixen (a female Red Fox) and two kits (baby Red Foxes).

I’m guessing that these babies are about 2 months old. It is rare to see these wild animals playing out in the open.

I welcome your comments and I invite you to follow me on my journey...sometimes we will have to trot to keep up with Mother Nature when she’s on the run. ;)
