Robin Bird: Prince Of Worms

"The early bird catches the worm...and that's fine with me. 😝" Omra-Sky, circa Nineteen Dickety Eight.

Well, the earliest known recording of this famous saying dates back to the 1600's. Though it was surely uttered in one form or another before that. The quote came to my mind recently as I filmed an American Robin preparing a plump, juicy meal for it's nest.

I find it interesting how quotes change meaning in different situations or at different times in our lives. As a kid, "The early bird catches the worm" meant waking up early. Similar to the "Early to bed, early to rise..." thing.

To most, I assume, it means to seize opportunities early. Though, does being first or early always yield the best results? Sometimes it's better to learn from other people's mistakes.

And, of course, we can't forget about those Early Bird Specials! Where are you going to get a meal like that for under $10.00?

Wherever we are, we are surrounded by nature. It's always trying to communicate with us. Take time to notice it. #NoticeNature. Seize those worms!
