Prague Astronomical Clock (Pražský Orloj)

The Prague Astronomical Clock is one of the oldest astronomical clock in the world that still functions. At present, the clock still remains one of Prague's greatest treasures, before which every hour several hundred people await the cultic mechanical execution of the twelve apostles (statues).

An interesting fact: Master Hanoush (Orloj the Watchmaker) was blinded by a piece of iron immediately after the construction of a unique clock for the city of Prague. What for?! The city council was frightened that Master Hanush would work out and build a similar clock for another city. But "good news" - was revenge! Master Hanush could stop the clock, and it took more than 100 years until someone could restore it.
