Our neighbor took in a white turkey and named her Tiffany. She used to hang out in our orchard with 5 wild grey male turkeys. I call them the "Turkey Brothers". Eventually she got tired of the Turkey Brothers, and opted for the comfort of domestication.
These days Tiffany can be spotted in our neighbor's yard in the evenings when it's time to bed down and sleep. During the day, it's not unusual to catch her going across the road, perhaps in part, to graze for seeds and grain. But I know the real reason this turkey crosses the road... to be with her rooster friend!
