Cinque Terre, Rio Maggiore

Cinque Terre is a rugged part of the Italian Riviera. It is located in the Ligurian region of Italy, at west of the town of La Spezia. The Five Lands(Cinque Terre) is composed from five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.

Over the centuries, people have carefully built terraces on rocky slopes with view at the sea. Part of the charm is that the villages are connected by trails, it can be reached by train and sea-going ships, but the machines can not reach them from the outside.
