My Crocus Picture
It will soon be the crocus season in the UK. I thought I'd do a post encouraging people to plant crocuses so they have a beautiful display next spring.

I love their distinctive leaves. They are narrow and pointed with a grey stripe down the middle.
Crocuses are easy to grow. The small bulbs handle fine. You can plant them about 10 cm apart or stand by the area you want to plant them and throw a handful of bulbs on to the soil. Then you plant them where they land.

You only need to plant them about 10 cm deep.
They will flower from January to March in the UK, depending on the weather.
So let's have a cheerful display this year. I plant them around trees in the street to brighten the day of passers-by.
