Can you see them - 2 Male Nyala Antelope
We were going on a day walk in the bush in Sondela Private Game Reserve in South Africa when we almost walked right past these two young Nyala bulls. Their camouflage was so good in this thicket.
In a previous post I posted a picture of a female Nyala which looks completely different to the male.
This is a medium sized antelope that likes thick bush near water. Only the males have horns which spiral and grow rather long and are sharply pointed. They make a very effective defensive weapon.
Both the male and female Nyala have their own magic beauty which instantly draws a liking for them.
Certainly amoung the most beautiful of our antelope.
