How to Clean an AK-47 Rifle using CRC Non-chlorinated Brake Cleaner

Before installing a GunSkins vinyl camo wrap on any gun, it's important to clean the surface. Any lubrication, grease, or gun oil will prevent the material from adhesion. This is especially true for new guns, as they come from the factory freshly lubed for preservation. AK-47 rifles, in particular, tend to be notoriously dirty guns. Hence we break out the heavy duty cleaner in order to prep this one for installation.

It's important to use non-chlorinated brake cleaner to avoid any discoloration. Spray the entire thing up and down and watch the grease drip down. Use a brush if there are recessed areas that require the extra attention. Let air dry or wipe with a lint-free cloth. Rubbing alcohol is a good last step as this will help remove any remaining residue and moisture.
