My 2018: Welcoming the new yearπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

How do I celebrate the New year's day? In a certain way which was established thanks to my family. You will probably agree that the family influences on us a lot. And all the traditions we have probably were borrowed from our childhood.

Since I remember myself this day has been the most important holiday for me. πŸ€” Maybe as important as my birthday is... Or a little bit less πŸ˜‰

My rules of celebrating the New Year

First, you have to be well-dressed. And that's a shame I didn't take a picture myself this time. I even don't know how could it happen. But I was beautiful! πŸ˜‚ (as you are not able to check, you have no choice but believe me).

Second there must be a Christmas tree there.

Remember to decorate it while singing🎢 some Christmas songs and dancing πŸ’ƒwith your loved ones.

Then you should spend a lot of time cooking. And I mean it. A lot of!

There must be so much food on your table and in your fridge (because your table is not big enough), that you will be able to eat all of this not only at New year'night but a few days more πŸ˜‚

No one knows why we cook that much. I think it's a cultural mystery 🧐

To be honest, I'm not that into cooking. But this time everything was different.

I made a traditional salad with homemade mayonnaise, chocolate sweets, a liver cake and some "pelmeni". 😳

And the last but definitely not the least you should prepare presents. And be prepared to get ones πŸ˜‰ That's my favourite part:)

If you do all of these, you are ready for the celebration. πŸŽ„

You also have to drink some champagne at night and listen to president congratulating the country.

The last one is optional though.

Happy New Year πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

This is my entry to the My 2018: Welcoming the new year contest.

Many thanks to @blocktrades and @anomadsoul πŸ€—

You encourage a lot of people to be active and creative :)

Share a smile and keep yourself happy
