I live in a small town here in the Philippines named Paombong somewhere in the province of Bulacan.
Here in our country, our small town is famous for two things.
(1) Vinegar(Sukang Paombong)
Our vinegar is so famous in our country it has even a flavor in one of the biggest factory of chips here.(picture not mine,i googled it)
I joined an amateur photo contest 2 years ago here in our town featuring where these vinegar came from.
This vinegar comes from the sap of young nipa fruits collected at the break of day, and fermenting it in a special jar we call tapayan for around 2 weeks. You can ferment it by just simply leaving the sap in the tapayan. You can ferment it for a longer amount of time(around 4-6months for the superior sourness).
I won this contest i think because of my caption, I correlated the tapayan to my beloved hometown, Paombong.

TAPAYAN ANG ATING TAHANAN
Alam sa buong bansa kung saan matatagpuan ang pinaka maasim na suka, sa Paombong.
Pero kapag nasa Paombong ka na,
Saan matatagpuan ang makasaysayang suka?
Oo tama, sa tapayan. Ang tunay na sukang paombong, tapayan ang tahanan.
Kahit malipat sa ibang lalagyanan, alam pa rin natin na ang humubog at nagpasarap sa sukang ito ay ang kanyang Unang tahanan.
Parang tayong Paombongeño,
tayo ang makasaysayang suka tapos ang Paombong ang tapayan.
Malipat man sa ibang lalagyanan,
Alalahanin natin ang nagpasarap at nagpaasim sa atin ay ang una nating tahanan.
Ang mahal nating bayan ng Paombong.
Ang ating Tapayan.
I'll try to translate it in English for you guys
(Tapayan = Special jar where we ferment the vinegar, as you can see on the picture above)
Tapayan,Our Home
In the our country, it is a common knowledge where you could find the most sour vinegar of them all, in Paombong.
But what if you are already in Paombong?
Where would you find this historical vinegar?
Yes. You are right,in the Tapayan. The authentic Paombong Vinegar, Tapayan is its home.
Even if you change its container, you know that it was developed and made delicious by its first home, the Tapayan.
_Just like us,Paombongeños,
We are like this historical vinegar and our town,Paombong, is our Tapayan.
We should never forget that we where improved and developed here in our first home.

(2) The other famous thing in our town is Penetensya. It is a religious tradition here in the Philippines where people hurt themselves as sign of asking forgiveness for their sins.
Photo of Penitensya so you will have an idea what it looks like, they hit themselves at the back and walking around the town. You can witness this tradition during the Holy Week.(Picture not mine but from a friend, not yet here in steemit, Hello Justin! I think you will read this in the future haha)
Okay, Now let's have a fresh tour in the coastal part of Paombong. (the less reached side of Paombong.)
Me and my friends went to discover the coastal part of Paombong
You need to ride a boat to go to the coastal part of our town.
Fishing is one of the most common sources of income here in our town.(photo not mine, one of the photo entry in the amateur photo contest i joined)
We walked around the coastal area and found this golden pathway. Hahaha
We had some fun. Playing like kids with no problems. Hahahaha
We even ate in the boat haha
Dinner time! Fresh seafoods
We stayed in one of the locals here that we know. Hey,in a small town like ours, we almost know everybody.
