According to Indie Music Plus (http://indiemusicplus.com/ - see sidebar) and Musicoin Slack users, there is a "MIND-BLOWING" (their words not mine) Announcement in just over one hour (~12:40PM EST).
In anticipation for the announcement, Musicoin's price on Bittrex has moved over 40% in the upward direction but is still affordable if you are looking to purchase in anticipation currently selling at 0.00001325 BTC or $0.03 USD.
Musicoin is more than just a coin or cryptocurrency. They have a working system where indie artists can upload their songs and they earn Musicoin for every play their songs earn. Some speculate that it could evolve and perhaps upseat a Spotify type of model.
