Record Of The Day: The Beatles - 1967-1970

This record used to belong to my father, who died a few years ago. He was a big Beatles fan since he was a boy, and passed his love of the Fab Four down the line to me. I've got most of their records on vinyl in some form or other. It's great to put on a Beatles album and reminisce...

This album is a great collection spanning the last half of there career, including tracks from Sgt Pepper, The White Album , Abbey Road and Let It Be, plus a few extra single tracks and B-sides that you don't hear very often. Here's Don't Let Me Down, a great track recorded during the Let It Be sessions, originally release as the B-side to Get Back...

Another favourite is the very strange I Am The Walrus, originally featured on Magical Mystery Tour...

So here's some pictures of my copy. The original release was in 1973, but this is the 1978 reissue, pressed on wonderful transluscent blue vinyl. One day I'll post the first volume in red, but for now...
