Japanese Acts At Coachella

Coachella is one of the most popular music festivals in the world inviting well-known artists and attended by massive fans and music lovers all over the world. The festival is held is United States and mostly have Western artists on their lineup. Asian acts are rare but last year, they invited Kpop superstar group Black Pink. For this year, Japan will be raising the Asian flag by two artists: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Hatsune Miku.

I have already written about Kyary Pamyu Pamyu recently. She is a singer and model dubbed as the Harajuku Queen for her cute but unique fashion style. Her music videos also has unique style that may be disturbing to some. Lol. She is well-known for her song, "Pon Pon Pon".

Meanwhile, Hatsune Miku is a popular voice synthesizer who is known for her iconic aqua hair and silver uniform. Due to popularity, Miku became the most famous virtual idol and holds concerts in Japan and on other countries. She also did an opening act for Lady Gaga's concert too.

You may be wondering how a fictional character do a concert? Does she perform on stage? And how?

Yes, she performs on stage. Through a hologram. Japan, everyone!

And take note her concerts aren't only held on small venues. Crazy, isn't it? So it will be an experience for everyone at Coachella to see a concert of a singer in hologram form.

Sometimes, I wish I live in the U.S. to experience these events. 😆 Coachella is lucky to have Kyary and Miku at one event. I wish Babymetal gets invited too someday. ❤️
