Musicians of Steemit in One Place

On Music

It was a nice surprise to find out that my brother @danieldyemusic was part of the latest compilation of the (music) artists of Steemit. @soundlegion releases regular compilations of artists he finds on the platform, and pulls them together for a curation that's always worth your time. To say nothing of the fact that Sound Legion Record's compilations are convenient, offered for streaming or downloading.

It's been cool to see Daniel find his people here on Steemit – a whole bunch of people who appreciate his work. An extra nice surprise for me in the case of his inclusion on this compilation was that the track that @soundlegion chose was of a song that I recorded with Dan back in 2014 (or something like that. The years are hard to keep track of).

Hard Cider is a fan favorite, and it's always fun to sing, especially as it is a departure from a lot of Daniel's music, which is is sad. A good sort of sad, but sad nonetheless. Hard Cider is about sticking it out, together, regardless of the price of Steem, so to speak. The image of an old couple hanging out on the porch, drinking cider and watching the years go by with a sense of contentment is one that gives comfort.

Thanks to @soundlegion for rounding up such great artists and, as always, to Dan'l for writing songs and letting his family sing with him.
