Woke up today with a hankerin' to hear some down home Shenandoah Valleymusic, so I found this old video I shot from the Hot Spot, in Waynesboro, Virginia a while back when I was working there.
Hound Dog Hill has been making music the traditional way since 2003, using all acoustic instruments. With influences drawn from the Valley’s rich musical heritage. the band plays a nice mix of bluegrass and old time string music.
Hound Dog Hill has won several coveted awards over the years, including at Clifftop in West Virginia and at the Glen Maury Fiddlers’ Convention in Buena Vista, Virginia.
