Every year in Wrocław an attempt is made to break the Guinness Guitar Record. The whole fun consists in playing together one track by many guitarists.
The event was open to anyone who had a guitar, registered and then played the song "Hey Joe" by Jimi Henrdix together with others.
This year, 7411 🎸🎸🎸guitarists have been officially registered!
Every year many guitarists from all over the world come to Wroclaw to beat the Guinness Guitar Record. As has been calculated, on 1st May 2018 at 16:00 another record was set 🏆, because there were 7411 guitarists playing together one track.
All types of guitars and other stringed instruments counted among the record-breakers: ukulele, mandolin, banjo, balalaika. For electric guitarists there was prepared a special sector with the possibility of connecting the amplifiers to the power supply.
It is surprising that so many people were able to gather together with their instruments and play together. This special atmosphere can be fully felt when you hear so many guitars together with others. For those who missed the event this year, there is good news, as early as May 1, you will be able to play together and beat another record.
It started...
The record-breaking process started in 2003, when Leszek Cichoński initiated a great guitar performance. The famous hit of Hendrix "Hey Joe" was performed on the Wrocław market square. The first edition attracted 588 participants. Year by year, the event is getting bigger and bigger, which allowed to set the Guinness World Record many times.

Co roku we Wrocławiu jest podejmowana próba pobicia Gitarowego Rekordu Guinnessa. Cała zabawa polega na zagraniu wspólnie, jednego utworu przez wielu gitarzystów.
W wydarzeniu mógł wziąć udział każdy, kto posiadał gitarę, zarejestrował się, a potem wraz z innymi zagrał utwór "Hey Joe" Jimiego Henrdixa.
W tym roku oficjalnie zarejestrowano 7411 gitarzystów! 🎸🎸🎸
Co roku wielu gitarzystów z całego świata przyjeżdża do Wrocławia, aby pobić Gitarowy Rekord Guinnessa. Jak zostało podliczone, 1 maja 2018 o godzinie 16:00 padł kolejny rekord 🏆, gdyż odnotowano 7411 gitarzystów grających razem jeden utwór.
W bicia rekordu liczyły się wszystkie rodzaje gitar oraz inne instrumenty strunowe: ukulele, mandoliny, banjo, bałałajki. Dla gitarzystów elektrycznych przygotowany był specjalny sektor z możliwością podłączenia wzmacniaczy do prądu.
Aż dziw bierze, że tyle osób wspólnie potrafiło zgromadzić się ze swoimi instrumentami i zagrać wspólnie. Tę szczególną atmosferę można poczuć w pełni, gdy wraz z innymi słyszysz taką ilość gitar. Dla tych, co przegapili imprezę w tym roku, jest dobra wiadomość, już za rok 1 maja będzie można też zagrać wspólnie i pobić kolejny rekord.

Bicie rekordu zaczęło się w 2003, gdy Leszek Cichoński zainicjował wielkie gitarowe granie. Na wrocławskim rynku wykonano słynny przebój Hendrixa „Hey Joe”. Pierwsza edycja zgromadziła 588 uczestników akcji. Z roku na rok impreza staje się coraz większa, co pozwoliło wielokrotnie ustanowić Światowy Rekord Guinnessa.
