Yes, I realize we have heard rumors of such things in the past, however Maynard tweeted from his official twitter account that this is in fact the case.
Supposedly the new album is in its final stages, and will be released mid May to mid July, if all goes according to plan.
I, for one, cannot wait for this album to come out. It's crazy to think that Tool's last studio album came out over ten years ago, in 2006. Feels like just yesterday and forever ago all at the same time.
10000 days was probably one of the last physical copies of an album I owned. I may consider actually purchasing this when it comes out, because I love the band so much. Hopefully it has some artwork like the last one did - it came with a cover which contained "3d glasses" and a bunch of amazing art from Alex Grey. Only time will tell...
