Television is another amazing band from the late '70s New York punk scene, like Talking Heads and Patti Smith. They are incredibly original; the guitar lines are so angular and rhythmic, and completely changed what the next generation of musicians thought was possible through punk. They avoided all the cliches and silliness of '70s rock 'n' roll, and managed to create some amazingly timeless music.

This song is the second track on their debut album, "Marquee Moon". I love the guitar work here, the back and forth between the rhythm and lead is so cool. The vocals fit perfect, I really dig the flow of his lyrics generally, and in this song in particular. It's definitely a love song, but done in a way so as to not be cheesy/boring poprock song. His lyrics are super poetic, I encourage you to check them out here. If you enjoy this track, go listen to the full album, you won't be disappointed. Television is legendary band, and everyone should know and appreciate just how much of an impact they had on all music that followed.
