Never Can Say Goodbye was written by Clifton Davis and originally recorded by The Jackson 5. In addition to writing one of the best pop songs ever, Clifton Davis was an actor and singer. He made several appearances on a 70's TV show called "Love American Style" and briefly hosted his own variety show on ABC.
