Cheers is the debut album from Detroit rapper Obie Trice. It was released on September 23, 2003 after he was signed to Shady Records in 2000. The title of the album is a homage to the old sitcom of the same name. This album debuted at number 5 in the Billboard 200 after selling 226,000 copies in its first week. I really liked this album. Obie Trice is fucking dope and the production that he had access to only made him better. This album is definitely a classic to me. From the beats to the features.

Songs That Stand Out:
#3 Got Some Teeth
Produced by Eminem & Luis Resto
This song right here is dope, lyrically and also funny at the same time. It's pretty much about getting too drunk at the bar and bringing home a bitch with no teeth. The beat is wonderful. This one is for sure my favorite one off this whole album.
#5 Don't Come Down
Produced by Emile & Eminem
This one was crazy. I always find it interesting when the artist gets real personal with it. This song is about the relationship between Obie and his mother. How shit wasn't always good and both he and his mother had to go through hard times before things got better. It's a really good song. And I really enjoy the sample used in the beat.
#6 The Set Up
Featuring Nate Dogg
Produced by Dr. Dre & Elizondo
For this one, the beat caught my ear real quick. It hits hard almost immediately. And Obie's flow, like on the rest of these songs, is damn near flawless. Couldn't have done it any better in my opinion. And obviously if you got Nate Dogg on your shit, that shit is dope.
#12 Look In My Eyes
Featuring Nate Dogg
Produced by Dr. Dre & Mike Elizondo
What's better than one Nate Dogg feature on your album? Two Nate Dogg features on your album. Obie really takes on the concept of what it takes to be a man when it comes to confrontation. Basically. Look in my eyes. Shit goes hard. This entire album is full of songs like this one, that's what makes it so classic to me.
