Blues Collar Duo Rips It Up At Stone Fire

Sometimes you go to a bar and the band performing covers is just alright but you don't mind because you know and like the songs. Then there was a trip to the Stone Fire Grille, located at 226 Atlantic City Boulevard in Beachwood, a few weekends ago and the artist just blew everyone away with their renditions of Classic Rock and then some. According to their business card given to me by Vincent Bergamo, keyboardist and lead vocalist for Blues Collar, they are known to perform as a duo, trio or a full band. This night it was the Blues Collar Duo as Vinnie was joined by an amazing lead vocalist.

While devouring a delicious Hangar Steak and Tomato Salad, the two very talented soulful rock performers transformed from Tom Petty to Chris Stapleton. Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street was spot on. The singer who was referred to as Mike took the vocals to another level, all the while seeming pleased with his partner's ability on the keys. They took turns singing leads and harmonized very well. Stevie Wonder, Zach Brown and Neil Young were represented in their set.

They even did the hardest thing a cover band could do and that was to ask for requests. Vinnie apparently is an amazing sight reader. I definitely am going to have to check them out as a full band because if they can maintain a solid sound as a duo, it almost blows my mind as to what they can do with more musicians.
