The Weather (Original Music)

Hi Friends

Today I am releasing another track from my band, Hermitage's new album. The song is titled: The Weather and was written about the effects of a massive cyclone on a group of small islands. The storms intensity had been greatly increased by the Coriolis effect and I remember watching the harrowing account of a lady who lived in a small wooden hut who had no protection from the ferocity of the storm. The song inadvertently also leads to questions about climate change and in particular the human suffering of vulnerable people that may arise from various scenarios in the future.

The song's stylistic approach explores my darker progressive rock side and is influenced by the work of Steven Wilson and Opeth.

Thanks for listening

Until next time

Byron
