(EUROVISION REVIEWS 2018) Juice of The Week Vol. 4

Hello Steemians! I want to dedicate this week's Juice Of The Week to Eurovision Song Contest 2018.  This week we have 5 new songs to feature on our list. Eurovision has been a shining stage for upcoming artists and bands for a long time. I'm missing that high energy contest since my country refusing to join by protesting the structure of the contest. Well actually it's very funny to see that nobody cares about it :) It's also funny to see that votes being exchanged between relationship of countries anyways...

Let's See What We Have!

1. NETTA - Toy

Review: The song's intro is starting with some voices from Netta, she is very good at imitating a chicken. Then catchy melodies follow with a modern references in lyrics. You all remember Versace Beat; "Versace Versace Versace" well this song includes all modern arranging elements in it and it has been favourited by many critics to win the contest. It's upbeat! The propaganda is clear! "For all the boys in the world; I'M NOT YOUR TOY!" You can also hear Israel's traditional music with slight touches.

2. EYE CUE - Lost and Found

Review: This song is a very good combination of Modern Pop and Reggae. Damn I liked it so much! Do you know what happens when I like a song so much from Eurovision Candidates? It won't go through the finals. Yes it couldn't make it but you will hear it a lot while you approach to life as a consumer on Summer. Trust me! Vocal's are powerful and guitars are very well sounded. Lyrics are quite cheesy but hey this is Eurovision its gotta be! No matter what this song was a wonderful entry for Macedonia! Thank you guys it was a pleasure to listen this song.

3. ELENI FOURERIA - FUEGO

Review: This song has a "Macklemore ft. Pitbull" feel. A syncopated upbeat rhytm carries the song from start to end. There's a catchy chorus melody from a synthesized blown instrument. Melodies are not so rich through the song it's like someone who recently learned to drive manual gearbox car. It's worth to listen anyway.

4. EQUINOX - Bones

Review: A solid entry from Bulgaria. Although there are not many instruments have been used on song but vocal melodies are in chorus and it creates an intense feel. The lyrics are positive and blended beautifully on a dark atmoshpere. Expecting it to finish on top 5.

5. MADAME MONSIEUR - Mercy

Review: This song has a different meaning for me; two days ago while I was having breakfast with my girlfriend it started to play and since her second language is French. She intervened my words with "Je m'appelle Mercy" with a cute smile on her face and I was stunned by her again. So let's put this memoir away and get into song. French has a different harmony while being sung, the tropical atmosphere on song makes it chilling. A fresh summer song and it will be remembered with it's chorus. Slight use of guitars are the choclate sprinkles of this ice-cream song. Early French Pop melodies can be heard through the bridge and it's a proud way to salute the influencers of French pop music. It's your earned right to say mercy "Madame Monsieur"

It's been a nice week for me and I hope it's been nice for you too.
