Goryeo Dynasty Exhibition in Korean National Museum

There was the Goryeo dynasty exhibition in Korean National Museum.
It was not an easy chance to see such many relics of Goryeo dynasty in one place like this exhibition.

USA, GB and France helped for this exhibition with sending relics they possessed.

One thing I felt sorry was the relics from Noth Korea and Japan were not displayed. Due to the current political situation, it was said that both 2 countries refused to cooperate for this exhibition.

Anyway when I stopped by the exhibition, there were lots of people to see this exhibition at this chance. So it was not easy to take the photos of the relics.

Exhibition was constituted with several display rooms.
In this post, I’d like to introduce some relics displayed in the first room.

The first one was the glass vessel which showed the communication between Goryeo and the western world.

Second relic was the stone text book for interpretation.
Chinese and Mongolian interpretation text was caved on the surface of the stone. How could they carry those heavy stone text.

Third one was a bronze mirror.
According to the explanation, the pattern of the wave of the sea was so meaningful. It was said that the sailors threw this bronze mirror into the sea to prevent bad luck in sailing.
