After my last mural post on the the well sponsored, and highly reputable art by a famous muralist, I'd like to continue this series with some less glorious, but still kick-ass looking murals that Mazunte has to offer.
The first one was taken opposite the Turtle Center, at a shady time of the day. For this reason I went back a few days later, only to find that a big pile of sand had been dumped in front of the wall, covering the art. Still, even in the shade you can't escape the looks of the many faces of Mazunte staring back at you.
This other cool picture I found outside a little store by the main square. Once again, you could say that the light conditions are less than ideal, but after a while I started liking the beam of light illuminating the face of the warrior.
I couldn't see an artist's tag on either of the pictures, but they may actually have been painted by the same person... or people, for that matter. In any case, it's nice to see that people are active at making their place beautiful, or at least interesting to look at. Each of these B-side murals is worth at least as much as the big one on the Turtle Center.
