One of the most common cancers to affect women worldwide, breast cancer can take many different forms, each of which requires a different strategy to treatment. Among these, HER2-positive breast cancer has become a subtype that is particularly difficult to treat due to its aggressiveness and resistance to standard treatments. Targeted treatments, which signal a new era in the treatment of advanced breast cancer that is HER2-positive, have, nevertheless, surfaced as a glimmer of hope.
