#ScareDiego at SDCC and Horror Movie News

If you've been following me you know that I love horror movies. So, I was excited that about the fact this year at San-Diego Comic-Con there was going to be a panel dedicated to horror movies: #ScareDiego. Unfortunately, it's one of those panels that are not released to the general public. The three major movies of the panel were: IT: Chapter 2, The Nun and The Curse of La Llorona.

The Curse of La Llorona was not on my radar until this panel. Even though it is produced by the king of horror movies: James Wan. Like seriously, how does this guy produces so many horror movies. Also, every movie that I see from him makes me more excited about Aquaman. The synopsis on imdb goes: "A troubled family must unite to save their young niece from the sinister forces of La Llorona, an evil spirit that inhabits an abandoned house." It sounds very classical dull horror, but people who was the panel are really excited about this movie. In fact, some people even said that it's a movie that deals with a South American folklore story. A sort of storytelling that I really appreciate.

There is no trailer for the movie, just a short clip that is the title revealed which I guess demonstrates the atmosphere of the movie:

The Curse of La Llorona will hit theaters in the USA on 19 April, 2019.

Then we The Nun. We already know that Taissa Farmiga, Vera Farmiga younger sister, and an actress that I really liked from the first season of American Horror Story, will play the main character. I actually really like this idea, that Vera Farmiga, one of the main character in the conjuring universe (Lorraine Warren), will have her sister play in this movie. They look similar and perhaps this movie will touch on the fact that one might be the ancestor of the other. There are funny images on Twitter of the nun doll in all sorts of places at Comic-Con. We also have a new and cool poster for the movie.

The Nun will hit theaters in the USA on 7 September, 2018

A release date that will be taken in 2019 by a different movie: IT: Chapter 2

We already know that it will come out in September, 2019. The panel didn't give any new information, just showed some behind the film images of the cast and their interpretation of the characters.

The most exciting news by far was that a new movie is joining the Conjuring Universe and that is Annabelle 3

The catch line for the movie is Annabelle comes home next September. I am not sure which September they are talking about because September is pretty crowded with horror movies for the next couple of years. But, since Annabelle: Creation was such a great movie, I am excited about this one. Seriously, don't bother with the first Annabelle, just watch Annabelle: Creation if you haven't already. The movie will take place at present time and according to allindiablogging, James Wan claimed that it will be "Night at the Museum, but with demons." It sounds like a great premise for a movie, and original which is hard to come by.

Which of these movies are you most excited about?
