Review of Buddha on Netflix

We stumbled upon this a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try.

The tone is interesting, a little bollywood at times, a couple of characters act a bit like telenovela villians.

The sets are really good, too.

It is a single series of 55 episodes, we are no more than 10 in right now. The story chronicles Buddha's entire life and spiritual journey, starting with his conception and birth as Crown Prince Siddartha of the Shakya clan.

Do you know what keeps us coming back for more?

From Episode 1, the story has been completely and utterly fascinating and captivating

As we were watching, we started asking ourselves,

"Did this really happen? Are they embellishing the story of Buddha?"

I tried to do a little digging without going so in depth I would have spoilers, the show is largely historically accurate!

We are taking out time with this one. It has subtitles so it's hard to watch when I'm working at night (or on Steemit..)

Buddha's spiritual curiosity in his youth lends itself to some FANTASTIC and inspired dialogue between Buddha and his Guru.

Check it out.
