Cape fold mountains from the air

This massive series of mountain ranges at the southern tip of Africa was pushed up when Antarctica collided with the African continent many ages ago.

They run north to south and east to west.

On google earth you can see the full extent of these mountains.

Basically they run most of the southern portion of the continent.

You can see the folds really clearly here in this area.
