Goodies arrived.

Afternoon.

Another day another delivery of parts.
Never seen a set of bars like these before, but as the RD 50 is a one off bike, one off bars fits the bill.

With me deciding to raise the back of the bike by 1 inch, it meant buying rear suspension that is meant for a different bike. I want it up a little for a more sporty stance. Yes it is only 50cc, but!.

And they arrived yesterday, but with having the afternoon off yesterday, they had to wait to be fitted until today.

Complications of the minor kind.

The inserts in them were smaller than the ones that fit the bike, so I swapped them over.

New v old.

You can see the size difference, so I removed these from the new ones. And fitted the bigger one from the same photo. 1 needed the rubber from an old one also, but as I have a barn full of parts, 2 more shocks were easy to find. (truth is I lost 1 insert)

And the fitting to make sure they fit? Yes they do, but it also means I now have to make a side stand, as the center stand no longer touches the ground, oh well, more weight saved it seems.

So now my list of to do grew with that one modification.

Tomorrow I will have to make a side stand to fit and remove the now defunct main or center stand.

I thought I had taken an image to show the height/stance change, but it seems I did not do a good enough job of that, but I only had my phone to hand, the dslr was with the good lady you see.

Hoping to crack on tomorrow and bring you some much better high res images.

Have a nice day where ever in the world you are.
