Just want to give you an update that I am planning to do a bike touring trip around Java in the coming September 2017 with my darling @steeminjim and his cool kids Kali and Sid.
Our preparation is already reached 60%; from getting a new comfortable bike, bought some touring bags that can be dangling on the bikes (sides, front and back) and also bought some tasers and pepper spray for self protection. If any of you guys had a bike touring in Java, Indonesia please let me know what is the pros and cons... also which way is best to take. Considering that me and James will be only riding on daylight, so I think it will be good to take the best road where we can cruise along the beautiful coast, pine forest, etc. We will keep you guys updated as soon as we started the adventure.
Meanwhile, here are some pictures from our first bike touring in Bali. We were riding from Sanur to Buleleng, took a night at Bali Eco Village (http://www.baliecovillage.com/) which was an amazing experience. Myself, James and the kids were happy to spent our time without electronics and screens, looking at the gloomy forest just in front of our eyes.
