Why Your Acts Of Goodness Matter

I have come to understand that the reason some people do not do what is necessary is because they do not know the benefits of doing it. In the world and in the era we are, there are so many challenges being witnessed by a lot of people, but there is something that can ease up on the challenges and the hardship - which is your acts of goodness. These acts may look very simple but they hold a very important significance in the life of not just the recipient but the giver. Here, we shall take a look at the reasons you need to show goodness to people especially at this point in time.

The first reason behind acts of goodness is because it is the right thing to do, as it is part of our core humanity duties. Doing good to others is part of the reasons you exist. The truth is that you are not existing simply because you want to, but because someone needs you to exist and someone's existence is tied to you. If you know how many people's sustenance are tied to the little act of goodness that you do, you will not disappoint nature. You may not agree with someone and may not even like them, and you may not even deem them right in your eyes, but when humanity matters, you will understand that kindness is more preferable than rightness. Do good, not because you want to, but because you have to do it.

The next reason to show acts of goodness is because it positively improves on one's mental well-being. You will agree with me that when you have done good to someone, there is a kind of inner satisfaction, joy, peace, and emotions that are triggered right within you. These go a long way to improve on one's mental health. In addition to it, it has been proven that there are some hormones which are referred to as "feel-good hormones" which are part of what make someone feel happy and excited, and eases stress - this hormone can be facilitated by your acts of doing good.

Another reason to do good and to be kind is that it builds social bonds. Friendship and connections are built basically by your acts of goodness. People are normally friends with someone who is kind and good. Humans are regarded as social creatures, so when you show kindness to people, you are triggering that social connection in them. Right from your corner, to your neighbourhood, then to the environment, you can create connection with people by being good to them. The little kindness you show to someone can also trigger them to do the same to others and by that, you have created a ripple effect of kindness.

One other major reasons to show act of kindness is that it positively affects the world at large. The world is made up of individual and what is done to one will affect what is done to all. When you have done good to one person, you make your own contribution towards making the world a better place. By choosing to be on the side of good, you do well to become part of the solution that the world is waiting for. A lot of ills are already being witnessed in many places in the world, but by choosing to be good, you become a solution provider to help make the world a better place. Be the reason why the world is better, not creating problems in the world.

The last reason to do good that we will look at here is that it sets a good example for the future generations. In your family for example, when the little ones see you do good as a parent, they will emulate you and then follow after your footsteps. This means that you have set good example for them to become better in the future. Your actions around people speak a lot of volume and will also influence what others will copy from you. This is why, if you see kids that grew up in a family where kindness is prioritized, they find it normal to be kind because that is what they have been exposed to all their life. So do good now and sow good seed for the future generations.
