Persistence Is The Key.....Giving Up Is Not An Option

Source

You cannot find out who you really are except you change your perception of life and persist in some very challenging situations. Abraham Lincoln became the president of America in 1860. A baby born on January 28, 2010, will just be 8 years now. She may probably know about Abraham Lincoln as a one time president of America but may not really not the number of times he has previously failed throughout his political career.

I was reading a book some years back and I read that when it comes to persistence, the only Icon we can actually look out for is Abraham Lincoln. He was born into a very poor home and encountered several challenges while he was growing up but he never gave in to those challenges. He never constrained himself to be among those children who lose focus and end up involving in social vices here and there.

Before Lincoln became president he failed several times in clinching several positions. At times, for example in 1832 when he ran for the position of the state legislature. He successfully lost that election and then decided to go into business. Take note here that the dream he had didn't fade out though. He returned in the year 1834 to re-contest for the same position but won time. Imagine if he had given up there.

There are several processes gold passes through before it becomes a very shiny object which we now spend all our money on. So also is life at times at least for some individuals. The fact that you are passing through that challenge never means you should give up on your dreams. Do you also know that Abraham Lincoln faced death in 1836 when he had a nervous breakdown?....Oh!!! I don't think you are aware of that also. For good six months, Licoln was battling with this sickness.

However, in spite of all this, he still faced some further failures both in business and in his political career before he evenventually became president in the year 1860. Have you decided that this is your last straw before you will give up today? No please don't. You can still try one more time.

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP FOR ANY REASONS
