In a military conflict, communication is vital. No army can function without it commands cannot be executed and the war cannot be won. In battling for the souls in your community, good communication is also vital. Leaders must cast vision for their staff and volunteers to show the purpose of communicating effectively. When workers know when their work is important, their effort will be more energized.

Leaders, however, do not need to know all the details of how communicating task are accomplished. Still, they should grasp the general process. For example, a leader does not need to know how to lay out his firm newsletter; however, it would be helpful if he or she would understand the time required to make a last minute change. A better understanding of each team members task will improve morale and collaboration.
