Remember, you can't view yourself as clearly other people might see you better. You have to be open to constructive criticism from people if you really want to progress in all. Many people had a blind spot and make them unaware of their own weaknesses or mistakes. Sometimes, when someone points out your weakness to you such a person have done us a favour but in return, we argue with the person. All we do is to defend and make flimsy excuses. We insist that we are indeed much competent in that area, or proof to be better than someone else.

Please don't do this, if probably you want to be at the apex of the best of your career, then you must ask for constructive feedback from people so that you can progress at what you're doing. Everyone goal is to excel in this life, no matter what price you have to for it even if it warrants your ego or pride. Don't let self-esteem nature or vanity stand in the way of learning what you need to know to move to the apex of your profession in life.
