MOTHERHOOD | KIDS SHOULD PLAY (part 2)

     One of the responsibilities of being a mother is to guide and teach your children in order for them to learn. But you cannot teach them everything, let them experience  what they NEED to experience in order for them to learn. As the saying goes " experience is the best teacher" .

      One of the things a child NEED to experience is playing outdoor games. Outdoor games will give your kids not only fun and happiness, they will get great benefits that will use them later on.

     Today's post, I want to share some zhian's activities outside home and their benifits too.

Playing sand and water

- just a few steps away from our backyard is beach. So if there is no chores to be done and the weather is fine, I make sure Zhian can play outside with my supervision.

• Physical development

> they are practicing eye-hand coordination using fine motor skills to scoop,pour and sift.

Develop social and emotional skills

> they can practice cooperative play and sharing.

> it also helps explore and enjoy sensory experience of manipulating fluid materials.

> splashing water and digging sand also help reduce the energy level of overexcited children and provide an acceptable way for them to vent frustrations and even anger.

Math and Science skills 

>  it introduces scientific concepts like floating and sinking.

> introduces exchange of state like dry or wet.

> helps practice measuring and

> explore math concepts like bigger, smaller, more or less and equal.

RIDING BICYCLE (cycling)

- it is one way of letting zhian enjoy while  getting benefits of it. Having fun is great but as children is more likely to fall while riding bicycle, they really need our supervision.

Build strenght and muscles mass

> it builds muscles gradually.

> it is considered by many people as the workout for the legs, but it's actually strenghtens the whole body.

Allows kids to get outside

> when kids ride bicycle, they usually do it outside. By that, they can get natural sunlight that gives them vitamin D especially when they do it on morning. They can experience ample fresh air that can help them provide good sleep at night. And having good sleep indicates good health that helps their growth developments.

Great lose excess fat

> fat is good for the body because we need it too, but excess fat can be dangerous especially to our kids. This may lead to obesity which is the major concern for most parents. Many researches shown that biking is the best way to battle problems like obesity.

Great cardiovascular workout

> having this kind of workout makes your kid little heart pumping which is good for them. Raising heart rate can increase the stamina of our kids.

FOOTBALL/SOCCER

- Actually they used a ball for basketball but they're playing it like a football. So I listed benefits from playing football.

- It is a family or team sports that involves in kicking the ball with feet to score a goal.

- Obviously they're not playing as a team and they're having their own rules of playing 😂😂 but still they can get some benefits while playing it.

• A GREAT DEVELOPMENT FOR CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM (CNS)

a simple act of playing this game provide a perfect stimuli to help children to develop capacities like agility, balance, speed and coordination

> this game involve so much running, throwing ang catching, kicking, jumping,  skipping that helps physical development. It is one good workout for children.

> helps improve eyes ability, the ability to track movements of flying objects knows how to estimate speed and distance.

> it helps for decision making. They will learn this with this game as they will decide when they are going to release or kick the ball in order for them to goal.


     Those are zhian's outside activities. 

   I know most of us parents are scared for our children to experience outside  world that they might get fall and hurt. But don't you know that from that experience, they'll get alot of benefits that will really help them in the near future. Let them play, let them explore and experience the world ofcourse with your supervision. I hope I helped with what I've shared.
