Don’t buy Jordan’s buy houses…..

I was on the IG today and saw someone take a jab at the concept of not buying stuff and buying assets. Of course they referenced one of those credit score over money tweets. This isn’t the first time I have seen this.

There are people who say that not buying junk alone isn’t enough to save the culture from poverty. Their view is that we need the government to do something to change our wealth condition via policy or reparations. This is the big thing promoted by Antonio Moore of Tone Talks and Yvette, his homey. They sound smart but they also sound defeated. All they talk about is other people’s power while diminishing their own. The problem is they are righteous in their poverty as though they played no fault in their own demise. It was all white people. They did this to us. Oh lord.

I didn’t know that there were so many people that don’t understand what is going on or how to solve it as there are that do understand. The people who bash Tulsa have just as many views and subscribers as Tulsa and similar pages like mine. There are just as many people who don’t get it as there are people that do. Check yourself, which one are you – Dr. Jay Z.

To the people that say ending consumption as a practice won’t end the wealth gap I say that it is at least a start. Not only is it a start, it is something we can begin working on today, not years later when you finally get the liberal President who is gon save you… lol lol lol.

We all agree that wealth begets wealth. Meaning that you don’t have to deny yourself forever but if you aren’t sitting on seed money you will have to deny yourself so you can then get that seed money. One of my favorite quotes from my podcast came from Kendra Brown when she said that if you weren’t born with generational money then you will have to make a sacrifice that other people might not have to make.

When you use the term sacrifice and other people not having to make one folks get mad. This is Africa, we are supposed to be equal! Liberty and justice for all! Do you want to be righteous or do you want to be wealthy? The system ain’t fair but the system works when you work it.

I believe that the wealth gap is the new civil rights movement. But unlike the civil rights movement of the past this is one we must do for self as opposed to protesting and begging the government to do it for us. For so long we didn’t even pay attention to its existence so to look at the past and complain is unrealistic. We were losing a game we didn’t even know was being played. I know something about us though, we tend to win the games we play.

My issue with the anti don’t buy Jordan folks is that they aren’t willing to reach deep inside themselves and make it happen. This is a losers line of thinking. These people look and say “well its so bad and the only way we can win is if the government saves us”. This allows them to spend how they want, live how they want and do what they want. These people are lazy, they aren’t willing to do the work. The problem with that though is that you have to do the work because the work prepares you to keep success when you get it.

If you skip the work you will just lose it all when you get it. When you earn millions versus when millions get dropped on you it is a different mindset. This is why most athletes go broke and when we hear of a self made millionaire that went broke its more rare. I say this because grinding for wealth and getting wealth yourself would do our community more good than having it drop from the sky via reparations. The knowledge that you gain by doing is better than the knowledge you gain by getting free stuff. Parents who gain wealth by doing teach those principles to their kids. Government benefit recipients just teach their kids how to get EBT and section 8.. I have seen it. We don’t need free, we don’t need reparations we don’t need anything more than what we have now and we can build with the right mindset.

We all know that we need wealth. But what we need to realize is that our mindset needs to change not our circumstances. This is the major premise in the book Think and Grow Rich a Black CHOICE. Wealth is a choice. The same stats and data Tone Talks and Yvette quote are the same stats and data people like me use as motivation for how we can win. They don’t have some super advantage because they can quote stats. You can look at the condition of your family and know you need to make a change. I just believe we are strong enough and we have enough. I believe we can solve our own problems. For some reason that isn’t seen as pro black but the people who promote white people as both the reason for their problems and the solution to their problems are seen as pro black. OK……………
