Bill gates now 2nd riches man, well for a few hours anyway!
On July 27th 2017 Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder briefly surpassed Bill Gates in net worth to be the worlds richest man. Amazon stock surged and this is what propelled him to the top.
Gates held the spot since 2013. Later in the day Mr Gates recaptured the top spot after Amazon stock dipped.
At the close of business day Bill Gates fortune was $90 billion , while bozos was at $89 billion.
Bezos is now the sixth man to hold the richest person title over the last 30 years, after entering the billionaire list over 30 years ago.
Amazons growth since it was founded is the reason Bezos wealth has grown to where it is. Amazons overall services has shown that it has done something right and its web services and popular Alex digital assistant has contributed to its advance.
