Exchange rate of British Pound to American $ in 1912 to now.

We all know there's something wrong with the fiat money system. Here's an interesting piece of information to ponder. In 1912 aboard the Titanic, you could exchange GBP1 for $4.80. You could exchange $4.95 for GBP1. The purser made a percentage in either direction.

Today you can exchange GPB1 for $1.29233 or $1.00 for GBP.77.

We also know that the USD has devalued by $.97 since 1913. The question is how much has the GBP been devalued?

Before you go, how about an up vote or even a comment! Thanks!
