Buyer Came To Know about this deal while surfing the website and instantly without wasting any time he/she orders the product by choosing payment mode as COD (Cash On Delivery).
2-3 Days Later He/she Receives Courier , Pays The Courier Guy in cash as order was on COD.
Now When He/she opens the packet , he/she is shocked 😮 to see this Old Tampered 40 GB HDD
Buyer now opens his/her Amazon Account and checks "My Orders" web-page and is surprised to see that order was cancelled by seller after 1 day and he/she did not notice the same and even he/she got sms/email for the same from amazon which he did not check...
Do You Know , Why And How This Happened ? 🤔
- Buyer Placed Order on COD (Cash On Delivery)
(Now This is where buyer has given golden chance to seller !) - Seller Got Details of buyer.
- Seller played a game here to scam buyer for money.
- Seller Cancels the order on amazon (Stating Any Reason Like Stock Unavailable/Pin Code Not Servicable).
- Buyer did not notice it.
- Seller dispatched fake product personally on COD mode using personal courier service at his end.
- This order has no relation with original order placed on Amazon.
- Buyer Receives courier and courier guy also never allows you to open parcel before you pay him.
- Buyer makes payment and Scam Completed....🙁
Amazon Cannot Help you because the order was already cancelled at their portal..
⚠ Please Note : Also Sometimes it may happen that you are not at home and your family member makes payment for a COD order thinking you have ordered it.. So Right Now Go and tell your Family members that never accept any COD order without your concern, It may be a Scam !
How To Take Precautions And Be Safe From Such Traps / Scams ?
- Always Buy products online with prepaid mode of system's like Netbanking / Wallets / Credit-Debit Cards etc.
- This will not give any chance to seller to scam you.
- Money will be safe with the Online Portal
- In-case any wrong product delivered you can raise disputes with your online shopping portal and get refunds or replacements.
- If order was placed on COD mode then do check if your order was not cancelled and product came to your place has same Docket Number provided to you on portal.
