The statue of Moses by the world artist Michael Angelo

unnamed.jpg

The statue of Moses, the greatest and most famous work of Michael Angelo, was commissioned at the request of Pope Julius II. Moses, as it is known, is the prophet who came out of the Jews from Egypt and received the Ten Commandments at the foot of Mount Sinai in the statue. Moses' hand protects the clay tablets in which the Ten Commandments are written. When Moses returned from receiving the commandments, he found his people worshiping another god, and anger appeared upon him. One of the manifestations of the power of the statue is the beard, which is difficult to represent with sculpture, but Angelo did his work as his idea, making it a cascade of hair, or like ropes, and the head of the head is adorned with two small horns to give Moses a glimpse of humanity
