Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, is a botanical garden in Sector 16, Chandigarh, India. Rose Garden is the largest garden of its kind in the Asia-continent. It is also known as Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, named after India's former President, Zakir Hussain, this beautiful garden was set up in 1967 with the support of Chandigarh's first Chief Commissioner, late Dr M S Randhawa. This garden is spread over 17 acre, There are 16,000 types of 50,000 rose plants. It is considered to be Asia's largest and beautiful garden.
For more than 50 garders have been taken care of this beautiful Rose Garden. Preparing varieties of such roses in the Rose Garden is not less than a challenge. To prepare different varieties of roses, indigenous and foreign fertilizers are used.
In the month of February there is a Rose Festival held here. The three-day long festival, not only in the country, but also from abroad, the tourists arrive to see these roses.
