Faisal mosque is one of the biggest mosque of pakistan as well as south asia . 
LOCATION
it is saturated on foothils of margala hills in Islamabad. it can be seen over few miles ago evan at night.
it consists the area of 500 meter square . its height is almost 90m . The beautifull margilla hills can be shown by this mosque . .
DESIGN
it was designed by famous Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay . it is designed on the basis of Islamic architecture. it has 4 minaret . The minaret are about 285 m high. The hight of hall from inside is about 42 m .Over 10000 people can offer their prayer in the hall (8500 men and 1500 women ) .it is decorated with different stones mostly white ones .
FOUNDATION
When Saudia Arab king Shah Faisal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud visit Pakistan in 1969 He supported the initiative of Pakistan govenament to build its national mosque at the capital city .
CONSTRUCTION
Many architects came from over 17 countries who submit their purposals for its construction but Vedat Delocay won the competion and start its construction in 1976 and it was completed at 1986 . It was named on the name of great king Shah faisal . 
If we add cortyyard and ground approx 300000 people can worship at a time . its a charming mosque who attrect tourist towards it self . All tourist who visit Islamabad must visit this beautifull mosque .
