A few days ago I went to visit a place which is the nation's pride. The place is the national monument.
Our national memorial is located in Savar. It symbolizes the nation's victory over the memory of the martyrs killed in the war of liberation. It is made of bricks but made of blood. Its height is much, about 150 feet, but more glorious is of a martyr.
This is a sign of the martyrs who sacrificed their life for which we can stand upright today with respect and dignity.
On December 16, 1972, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman laid the foundation stone of the War of Liberation. There is a flag in front of it.
There is a mosque, a library and a museum. In the museum the remains of the freedom war are preserved. There is a beautiful water maze in the front. It all came to visit.
Our national monument is our pride, our pride. It is such a wonderful experience to go there. Something is there which you can feel hardly. The feel of nationality over the life of our martyrs.
