A brief essay on the moral dilemma of social engineering

IMG_2978.JPG
Humans have been socially engineered through television and media to purchase and consume goods. We are a society that replicates memes more than we create our own, that is because we are conditioned by our society not to think for ourselves. As memetics is more widely understood, individuals will become much more aware of what memes they allow into their mind.

Since that choice belongs to us, as a fellow steemian I have bright hopes for the future as I see movements like this growing. Memetics and social media could shift our entire society into becoming producers instead of consuming and replicating. Once you understand how important it is to control your own mind, you also have a moral obligation to society to produce factual content instead of making up false information for profit.
