ذا المسلسل الذي اختار فريق عمله تصوير مشاهده في المغرب، يحكي قصة محلل في وكالة استخباراتية أمريكية، يجد نفسه مقحما في عالم الجاسوسية في بلدان الشرق الأوسط وتناول قضايا الإرهاب والتطرف في عدد من الدول، من بينها العراق واليمن وسوريا.
كريستيان ماكويليامس، مسؤول إنتاج وتصوير "جاك ريان" في المغرب، أوضح في تصريحات صحافية أنّ اختيار المغرب لتصوير مشاهد المسلسل الأمريكي جاء نتيجة توفره على مناظر طبيعية متنوعة.
وقال الفني نفسه: "في بلد كالمغرب يمكنك أن تصور مشاهد وكأنها في مجموعة بلدان مختلفة؛ ما يعفيك من التنقل والسفر وصرف المزيد من المال".
وأضاف كريستيان: "صورنا داخل أسواق شعبية في مراكش أحداثا وكأنها تدور في العراق واليمن. أما الشواطئ المغربية فقدمناها على أنها في تركيا، ثم انتقلنا إلى الصحراء لنصور مشاهد على أنها في سوريا، وهذا التنوع لن تجده في بلدان أخرى".
وتابع مسؤول الإنتاج والتصوير حديثه قائلا: "التصوير في المملكة المغربية كان مثاليا إلى أقصى حد، وتفاجأنا بكرم المغاربة وسخائهم، واستقبالهم لنا في بيوتهم".
المسؤول ذاته أكدّ أنّه "بالرغم من تسليط المسلسل الضوء على قضايا التطرف والإرهاب في بلدان الشرق الأوسط، من خلال قصة محلل استخباراتي، وتقريب المشاهد من الأحداث التّي عرفتها بعض الدول العربية خلال السنوات الأخيرة، إلا أنّ المسلسل يرفض تقديم صورة سيئة عن الإسلام".
